Meeting Dave Gibbons at C-Con 2010!

This past Comic-Con was full off incredible super nerd moments from start to finish but by far the most insanely amazing of those moments came during the last hour of the convention on Sunday. While I was busy chatting it up with my buddy Zev and his wife, a guy approached the side of the table. He said in a very British accent that he was passing by and wanted to say how much he liked my take on the Watchmen. When I turned and looked at him I couldn't believe my eyeballs, it was none other than Dave Gibbons himself! In case you didn't know, Dave is a living legend and the artist who drew the greatest graphic novel of all time/ my personal favorite "The Watchmen"!

I actually turned to my sister and said "Do you know who this fn' is?!! It's fn' Dave Gibbons!!!" He laughed and took this picture with me totally geekin' out. He was the nicest guy you could ever want to meet. When I managed to slip him a copy of my new book he asked if my e-mail was in it so his lawyers could get in contact with me. This amazing moment made my C-Con the best yet! It was such a huge honor to have one of the guys whose work I've loved for years come by out of nowhere and tell me he liked my work! Dave you are tha man, we love you!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Comic-Con International This Week!

Me and my whole crew will be in the small press area at Comic-Con International 2010 in San Diego this week July 21-25th at the San Diego Convention Center! Yep itz tha big one again! So drop by and say "hi" if you are in the area. I will be selling copies of my brand spankin' new book on Saturday and Sunday and have a ton of new prints, original artwork and new sketch-cards available! I am located on the back corner of row "O" in the small press area at table O09. Hopefully we will be seeing all of you there!
